Jase Stokes, Havre High Football
Saturday was a good day to be a Havre Blue Pony, as HHS thumped Columbia Falls 47-13 in the opening round of the Class A playoffs. And it was an especially good day for Havre junior Jase Stokes. On offense, Stokes rushed for 105 yards, while catching five passes for 72 yards and a 31-yard touchdown. On defense, Stokes, who is also a two-time wrestling state champion, had a game-high 11 tackles and two tackles for loss against in the quarterfinals win over the Wildcats.
Sheridan O'Neil, North Star Volleyball
The North Star Knights may have fallen short in their goal to reach the Class C state volleyball tournament. But, senior Sheridan O'Neil was as dominant as any player at last week's Northern C Divisional in Belt. O'Neil averaged 15 kills, four blocks and an ace in helping the Knights finish fourth in the divisional tourney. She tallied a tournament-high 23 kills in a loss to Chinook during the tournament, and she finished the tourney with the most total kills and most total blocks.
