It's been a rough season thus far for the Chicago Bears. But, they'll be on the NFL's big stage tonight.
And on that stage with the Bears will be former Havre High great Marc Mariani, as Chicago takes on San Diego in tonight's ESPN Monday Night Football matchup.
Mariani is having yet another outstanding season returning kicks, but he's also been much more involved in the offense than at any other point in his NFL career.
And tonight, Mariani, who caught a pass in last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, could be more involved than ever. With injuries continuing to mount to Chicago's receiving corps, Mariani could see plenty of opportunities on offense against the Chargers, and might possibly start in at the slot position.
Mariani is currently ninth in the NFL in kickoffs returns with a 28-yard average. He's also 22nd in the league with a 8-yard average on punt returns.
Tonight's game between the Bears and Chargers kicks off at 6:30 on ESPN. The Bears will also be on national TV on Thanksgiving.
