Winter weather in the forecast

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Havre and Chinook from 8 p.m. today to noon Tuesday.

Rain and snow showers will occur this afternoon, turning to snow tonight. A total of 1 to 3 inches of snow will make roads slippery, the National Weather Service predicts.

Snow should gradually diminish Tuesday morning.

As roads become slick, the visibility will be reduced to less than one mile, the weather service predicts.
