Havre High School announces its students of the month

Kaitlyn Wilkie has been chosen as Havre High's October 2015 Student of the Month.

Kaitlyn is the daughter of Martin and Megan Wilkie and the sister of Martin, 15, Mackenzie, 5, and Kyler, 3.

As a senior at Havre High School, Kaitlyn enjoys camping, spending time with friends and hanging out with her bulldog, Roman. She also enjoys hiking, photography and the outdoors.

Kaitlyn was nominated by Ms. Manuel-McInerney based on her success in her current class. Kaitlyn "has demonstrated a strong desire to complete assignments" and she "provides thoughtful and informed feedback as well as critical thinking skills," said Manuel-McInerney, who also is very impressed with the amount of growth and improvement she has seen in Kaitlyn during the last few years. "I know she is fully capable of succeeding in whatever path she chooses!" she added.

Kaitlyn plans on going to college after high school but has not determined where she would like to go.

Zane Anderson has been chosen Havre High School's September 2015 Student of the Month.

Zane is the son of Sabrina St. Marks and Adam Anderson and Crystal Anderson. His siblings include Cole Molyneaux, 21, Geoffrey Anderson, 13, Olivia Anderson, 10, and Allison St. Marks, 6.

Zane is president of the Spanish Club, participates in track and was part of the Havre High band for three years. He also works at Western Trailer Sales and enjoys drawing, running, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family.

Zane was proudly nominated by his Spanish teacher, Ms. Deegan who said: "Zane has shown tremendous growth in Spanish over the last four years. ... He is a confident student and young man. As president of Spanish Club, Zane has taken on a leadership role, stepping up to do any job I ask of him." Zane has proven himself to be a hardworking and capable student.

Zane's plans include going to school for pharmacy at the University of Montana in Missoula.
