GILROY, Calif. - Louise L. LaFramboise Bautista passed away of natural causes at her home Oct. 24, 2015.
Louise was born in Rocky Boy, Montana, on Aug. 22, 1929, to Beatrice and Charles LaFramboise and became part of a family of eight children. She graduated from Rocky Boy High School.
In 1946 she married the late John A. Bautista. A Gilroy, Calif., resident since 1947, Louise worked at Gilroy Foods as a coordinator for 25 years. After retiring in 1987, she kept in touch with her fellow retirees through the Gilroy Foods retirement group. She also belonged to the Catholic Ladies Society, Laoaguenlan of Monterey County and Sons of Badoc and Gilroy Seniors.
She will be missed by her children, Juanita (Frank) Lujan of Reno, Nevada, Irene (Frank) Smith of Washoe Valley, Nevada, Phillip (Patricia), Christine (Chet) Kirby, David (Salve) of Gilroy; her grandchildren, John Bautista III, Nicole Arechiga, Carla Mar, Richard Ayala, Jeremy Colvin, Eric Smith, Cameron, Jason and Brandon Bautista, Christopher Kirby, Dennie Bautista, Charles and David Bautista; her great-grandchildren, Alanna, Kaileigh and John IV Bautista, Jessie Vea, Isaiah and Jacob Mar, R.C. and McKenzie Ayala, Lydia Colvin, Diveyah, Daniel and DiAngelo Moreno; and daughter-in-law Evelyn Bautista.
Her grandchildren have fond memories of her "taxi" service while they were growing up, camping trips, learning to be on time, her "adventure" stories growing up on the reservation. She loved her family. Louise is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter Betty Lou; stepson, John Jr .; siblings, Margaret Montes, Joe LaFromboise, Agnes Lopez, Rosemary LaFrombois, Delores LaFramboise, Janet Lomosad and Joanne Moore; all are missed and will be kept in our hearts forever.
A visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, followed by a 7 p.m. vigil, both at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy. Mass will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial following at St. Mary Cemetery.
