Havre Public Schools has received no takers on its Mat Corner building at 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue.
The district closed down operations at the building and moved wrestling practice to the newly enlarged athletic facilities at Havre High School. Six months ago, it listed the building for sale with an asking price of $185,000.
School Superintendent Andy Carlson said no one has been interested.
He is hopeful that the lower price might attract some bites.
If that doesn’t work after two or three months, the district will entertain offers to negotiations on the building, he said.
District Clerk Mike Arnold told the school board Tuesday night that the building sustained no damage in the July 4 hail and windstorms that clobbered buildings in the area, Mat Corner is still in good structural shape, he said.
