Havre Police Department

Someone was arrested after officers investigated an 10:07 a.m. Wednesday call from a 1st Street West business about a hit and run. Officers failed to release a name.

Samuel Clearance Wells, 58, of Havre was arrested on a charge of assault after officers responded to an 11:09 a.m. Wednesday call from the Center for Mental Health about someone threatening a client.

Two people were arrested after officers investigated a 1:43 p.m. Wednesday call from 17th Street West about a man and woman yelling and screaming. Officers failed to release names.

Officers investigated a 2:11 p.m. Wednesday report at the police station about a stolen backpack, laptop, brief case, Oakley sunglasses and school books from a pickup.

Officers investigated a 4:15 p.m. Wednesday call from 3rd Street about a blue boy’s bike found in an alley.

Officers investigated a 5 p.m. Wednesday call from a 2nd Street West business about a man backing into a building and taking off.

Officers investigated a 5:29 p.m. Wednesday call from 5th Avenue about a motor vehicle crash.

Officers investigated a 5:52 p.m. Wednesday call from Assinniboine Avenue about a chainsaw being taken from a garage.

Cheryl Anne Sternberg, 39, of Big Sandy and Timothy Anthony Kunz, 27, of Big Sandy were each arrested on a charge of assault after officers responded to a 12:27 a.m. call today from a 1st Street establishment about a bar fight.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Hill County Sheriff's Office recorded no investigations or arrests.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two medical calls Wednesday and investigated a report of an odor Wednesday, Havre Public Works is checking into the cause of the smell today.
