Havre High School seniors Nate Rismon and Alara Vogel were crowned the 2015 Homecoming King and Queen this morning, the highlight of a brief coronation ceremony in the school auditorium.
Rismon and Vogel were one of three senior couples and seven couples overall vying for the honor.
The senior class was also represented by couples Dani Wagner and Dane Warp, Thomas Keith and Rainey Stoner, and Jerod Boles and Kaitlin Nystrom. The other couples were juniors Jeffrey Ralph and Jaycelyn Hassa, sophomores Tyler Schaub and Ryen Olson and freshman Dylan Chvilicek and Abbey Morse.
The newly crowned couple said they were caught off guard by their selection.
"I was surprised and excited," said Vogel, in reaction to being crowned. Her partner Nate Rismon said he was both "surprised and honored" to be king.
The event is one of many activities that mark Homecoming Week which will culminate Friday in a pep assembly, parade, football game and dance.
