The 11th Annual Sugarbeet Festival in Chinook stayed true to its theme of celebrating the energy industry with a full schedule of events this past weekend.
Power pole races, bucket lift rides and more, in addition to the regular events that are held during the festival every year.
The parade is the highlight that brought hundreds of Hi-Liners to watch the procession. Many large equipment vehicles, horses and classic cars held waving community members. Floats were pulled behind trucks to entertain parade goers and celebrate various causes or aspects of life.
In addition to the parade, the community was also able to partake in an outdoor showing of "Night at the Museum 2" at the Wildlife Museum. Friday, professional speed climbing up power poles, the annual black pot cooking contest and sugarbeet competitions and many other activites kept the crowds busy.
