The Box Elder Bears aren’t just winning football games this season, they are dominating them. And Saturday against North Star, the Bears did it again.
In a highly anticipated matchup between the Bears and the Knights in Class C Six-Man football’s North Division, Box Elder quickly proved that the game was a mismatch, outscoring North Star 30-7 in the first quarter, on their way to a 60-19 victory.
Brandon The Boy got things started for the Bears with a touchdown pass to Jake Jones in the opening stanza. Shane Ketchum added a rushing touchdown, then Bodis Duran scored twice more in the period, once on offense and once on defense to help the Bears get in front by 23 points.
By halftime the score was 52-13 and the rout was on. The Boy threw for 110 yards and a touchdown in the win for the Bears, while Shane Ketchum finished the game with five rushing touchdowns. Cade Chivilicek had a touchdown pass to Gavin Spinler in the loss. Matthew Helmbrecht and Jimmy Snow also had touchdown runs for the Knights.
The Bears (4-0), will be back in action this Saturday when they will host Big Sandy at 1 p.m. The Knights (1-2), will pay a visit to defending state champion Geraldine/Highwood. That game will also get started at 1 p.m.

Elsewhere in Six-Man football Saturday, the Big Sandy Pioneers won their second game of the season thanks to a 32-6 victory over Augusta.
The Pioneers got off to a fast start when Lawrence Alderdice caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Zach Works. Josh Solf added a 41-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter and it was 14-0 at the end of the opening stanza.
Solf added another touchdown run in the second quarter as well as another in the third. Alderdice also scored his second touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter on a 57-yard touchdown run.
The Pioneers (2-2) will be in action again Saturday when they will pay a visit to the undefeated Box Elder Bears.

Chinook 34, Simms 12
In local 8-man football action from the Northern C Friday, the Chinook Sugarbeeters continued their streak of dominance on their home field with a 34-12 win over Simms Friday night. The win was the 11th consecutive at home for the Beeters including last year’s playoffs.
The Beeters jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead against their conference rival following a touchdown run by Tate Niederegger and 67-yard touchdown pass by Ian McIntosh to Jake Norby. Niederegger would add two more rushing touchdowns in the third quarter and in the fourth, Owen Powell added a touchdown run to seal the 22-point victory.
Chinook (3-0) will play again Friday in Fort Benton.

In another Northern C football game Friday night, the Fort Benton Longhorns paid a visit to the Belt Huskies and suffered their third loss of the season by way of a 48-14 trouncing.
The Longhorns, who are 1-3 on the season will host the defending Northern C champion Chinook Friday night.

In 11-man action from along the Hi-Line, the Harlem Wildcats visited Cut Bank Friday night in search of their first win. Yet, it did not come as Cut Bank rolled to a 47-6 win.
The Wolves scored 28 points in the first quarter, followed by 19 in the second quarter to build a 47-0 nothing advantage. Yet, there was one bright spot late in the game for the Wildcats, as Colton Brockie returned a fumble 55 yards for a touchdown to avoid the shutout. Harlem (0-3) will look for its first win Friday night at home against Wolf Point.
