Havre Pride wasn’t the only project that had a successful weekend.
Recycle Hi-Line had its monthly recycle drive at Pacific Steel & Recycling.
More people are bringing materials and more are separating the material by class, more recycling is being accomplished and there is less work for volunteers to do, according to Christy Keto of Recycle Hi-Line.
People were anxious to come out, she said, because it was a gorgeous day.
She credited the work of “a hardworking handful of volunteers and grateful recyclers”
“We appreciate the community's support and love the fact that evey month we seem to collect more but have less processing to do.” she said.
The next recycling drive will be Oct. 17.
But, she said, people don't have to wait until then to discard some of their recycling materials.
Everything except plastic, glass and light bulbs can be taken to Pacific anytime they're open. People with those items will have to wait until next month.
