Havre Police Department

Officers investigated an 8:08 a.m. Thursday complaint at the police station about a stolen wallet.

Nichole Rae Moline, 21, of Havre was arrested on a charge of speeding and on a Justice or City court warrant after an officer made a motor vehicle stop at 2:02 p.m. Thursday on 13th Street West.

Officers investigated a 2:48 p.m. Thursday call from Montana State University-Northern about a two-vehicle, noninjury motor vehicle crash.

Officers investigated a 2:55 p.m. Thursday call from Smithville Road about someone going through the calling party’s house and stealing stuff while the calling party was gone.

Holly Elizabeth Oats, 25, of Rocky Boy was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after officers responded to a 4:11 p.m. Thursday call from a 1st Street business about a noncombative shoplifter.

Officers investigated a 7:51 p.m. Thursday animal control report made at the police station by a man who would not tell the dispatcher his name and had a stray cat in a cooler.

Officers investigated an 11:55 p.m. Thursday call from 3rd Avenue about two bikes that looked like they were ditched in the area.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Melanie Dawn Lackner, 42, of Havre was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without valid registration and on a Justice or City court warrant after a deputy made a motor vehicle stop at 3:12 p.m. Thursday on Highway 87.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the 100 Block of 13th Street at 5:52 a.m. Friday to address an alarm nurses at Northern Montana Hospital set off. They thought they smelled smoke, but when firefighters showed up, no smoke or fire was found.
