Sheridan O'Neil, North Star Volleyball

The volleyball season is only one week old, but already, the North Star Knights are looking strong. And North Star senior Sheridan O'Neil was certainly strong when she racked up 20 kills in last Friday's five-set win over Sunburst. O'Neil, a three-year starter for the Knights, also had a good Saturday as North Star finished fifth at the Belt Showcase in Belt. O'Neil and the Knights will host the North Star Showcase this Friday and Saturday in Rudyard and Gildford.

Jerod Boles, Havre High Golf

Havre High senior Jerod Boles is no stranger to playing good golf, and in his first three weeks of the 2015 season, Boles has definitely been consistent. In tournaments in Great Falls, Havre and Bozeman, Boles has earned Top 10 finishes. But the best of them all came the first week when he fired an even-par 72 at Eagle Falls in Great Falls, to finish in the Top 10 at the Great Falls Invite, an all Class AA field. Boles is also a standout in basketball, tennis and baseball.
