Gov. Steve Bullock will be coming to the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation Tuesday, to announce the availability of a new grant program aimed at encouraging students to complete high school and acquire the skills needed for the workforce.
"There is no greater gift we can give to students than a quality education that prepares them to succeed throughout their lives," said Bullock.
Bullock is slated to address students, teachers, faculty and community members Tuesday at 11:30 a.m in the gymnasium at Rocky Boy High School. Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau will also be present.
The stop is part of Bullock's annual College and Career Readiness back to school tour, where the governor interacts with students and education professionals.
Bullock and Lt. Gov Angela McLean will be making appearances in Billings, Bozeman, Columbia Falls, Great Falls , Havre, Helena Missoula and Plains throughout the week.
On Thursday, Bullock will visit Montana State University-Northern, where he will tour the campus HealthCare MT program, a joint-effort by Montana’s two-year colleges and more than 30 healthcare providers that seeks to connect students with opportunities in the healthcare sector.
Bullock is scheduled to arrive at Northern around 2 p.m in room 319 in Cowan Hall.
