Local residents take part in citizen police academy

Students of the Havre Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy went out Saturday morning to the law enforcement gun range off 5th Avenue to shoot Glocks, shotguns and AR-15s.
The police academy runs interested participants through what it's like to be a police officer. The course is every Wednesday, until Sept. 9. In it, everyday people run through mock situations and learn a little bit about what it takes to be a Havre Police Department officer.
