The time has come to wrap up our summer reading program here at the library.

On July 29, the Havre-Hill County Library will be hosting a Community Heroes Carnival from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. This is going to be the most awesome carnival. There will be a barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some activities include a duck pond, fishing, face painting, ring toss, basketball, ladder ball, spin the wheel, cake walk and photos.

We are also having a Pie in the Face event which will cost $1 and all proceeds go to the Montana Hope Project. The lucky recipient to get a pie in the face will be City Judge Virginia Seigel. This will also be the time to come pick up your summer reading prizes.

Havre really does have a great community that enjoys getting involved in children’s programs. Some of the agencies that will be attending and helping us out with the carnival this year will be U.S. Border Patrol, Havre City Police, Montana Highway Patrol, Hill County Health Department, HRDC, Havre Fire Department, Mercy Flight, and the HELP Committee/Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line.

Some local businesses that you will see at our carnival will be Bear Paw Technologies, US Bank, Flynn Reality, Stockman Bank, Henny Penny, Northern Montana Hospital, Northern Basketball, Culligan, Havre Rental and Gary & Leo’s Fresh Food. We also have some awesome individuals that are willing to help us out, Levi Houston is going to provide music, Lois Gilge is face painting. And the Snyder family is going to help with everything else. Thank you to all of you for being so supportive of the Havre-Hill County Library.

Come join in the fun. If you have any questions, please call us at 265-2123 or check us out on Facebook.
