North Central Montana Relay for Life
The North Central Relay for Life is once again preparing for this year’s relay. There have been some changes to the schedule to make the Relay more family-friendly. Relay for Life will be held Saturday, July 25, noon to midnight.
This year the Relay will have a butterfly release instead of balloons for survivors, vendors selling items, a silent auction, games, and bounce houses for the kids.
Bank Night for all teams will be July 24, 5-7 p. m., at the Havre High School track. This is the opportunity for teams to bring any money, luminaries, registrations and questions prior to the Relay.
Set up and registration for vendors and teams will be July 25, from 10 a.m. to noon.
As usual, the relay will be kicked off with introductions, the national anthem and narratives from local survivors.
The event will continue with the survivor barbecue at 5 p.m. followed by the survivor and caregiver lap and ceremony at 6 p.m., then the luminary ceremony at 10:30 p.m. This is a special time to celebrate those here today, remember those who lost the fight, and to fight back with donations to help those who are currently battling.
Organizers thank the Havre Community for all the support given to the North Central Relay for Life over the past 15 years.
People with questions or who would like to join a team are urged to call Reba Domire at 390-1343.
