The Montana Grizzly football program is just 60-plus days away from its historic season-opener against four-time FCS national champion North Dakota State on Aug. 29.
And the Griz will start their 2015 campaign with seven different Preseason All-American picks as selected by USA College Football it was announced today.
Senior wide receiver Jamaal Jones earned the highest rank on the list with a second team All-America selection.
Fullback Jamal Wilson, linebacker Herbert Gamboa, defensive back Nate Harris, Linebacker Jeremiah Kose and punter/kicker Daniel Sullivan each received Honorable Mention All-American nods.
American Football Networks presents The 26th Annual USA College Football FCS Preseason All-Americans. USA College Football recognizes the top four percent of returning college football players out of 12,297 student-athletes competing for 122 programs nationwide.
Jones picks up second team honors after leading the 2014 Grizzlies in receiving, surpassing the 1000-yard mark with 1044 total yards. He caught 67 passes in last year's campaign, with an average of 15.6 yards-per-catch and scored eight touchdowns last season, the most in the Grizzly corps of receivers.
The Grizzlies report to fall camp in early August, the first under new head coach Bob Stitt. Montana opens its 2015 season at home Aug. 29 against defending National Champion North Dakota State and will be shown on ESPN in the annual FCS Kickoff game.
