The Weapons Collectors Society of Montana, District No. 1, will conduct its annual Youth Shoot Saturday, July 11.
This free event provides youth ages 11-17 the opportunity to learn about gun safety and military weapons history. They then will be able to fire weapons dating from the civil war to modern times. All weapons fired will be under the one-on-one supervision of an instructor.
There will be two sessions, the first at 9 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m. Each session is limited to 75 participants, Hearing and eye protection will be used and provided for those who don’t have it. Sunscreen and water is the responsibility each individual. Long sleeved shirts are recommended.
Each participant must have a permission/release form signed by a parent or legal guardian. All guns and ammunition will be provided by WSCM members and through grants from the NRA.
The event will be conducted at the Missouri River Shooting Range at 171 Morony Dam Road, Great Falls, located approximately 5 miles north of Great Falls on U.S. Highway 87.
