The entire Montana congressional delegation will be in town sometime this weekend to address the Montana American Legion convention.
Representatives of the state's 130 posts will gather at the HRDC builiding Thursday through Sunday.
The legion auxiliary will also be in town this weekend.
Gary White, the department adjutant for the legion, said new officers will be elected, and there will be votes on several resolutions.
Unlike some years, the resolutions are routine and mostly housekeeping matters.
Some years, he said, the resolutions prompt controversy, but he doesn't see that happening this year.
Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., will speak to the legionaries on Friday morning, White said. Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., will follow Friday afternoon.
Election of officers will take place Saturday, and U.S. Rep. Ryan Zinke, R-Mont., will speak to the veterans on Sunday morning.
White said the legion last held its state convention in Havre in 2010.
He said he hoped to have representatives from all 130 posts at the meeting, though sometimes some posts are unable to send representatives.
Jed Damson, who has long been active in Hill County legion affairs, is in charge of the local arrangements, White said. Damson's wife, Marlyn, will oversee the auxiliary part of the gathering.
