Havre woman second runner-up in 2015 Miss Montana contest

Havreite Mary Kaercher finished second runner-up in the Miss Montana pageant in Glendive Saturday night.

Kaercher was also chosen Miss Congeniality by her peers and won the $750 Spirit and Leadership Award

She graduated from Montana State University-Northern and has her own photography business, Merry Characters, a play on her name.

The Havre High School grad is the daughter of Doug and Darla Kaercher.

Danielle Wineman, 23, of Cut Bank was crowned Miss Montana at the event. She will now compete in the Miss America contest in Atlantic City.
