Stockgrowers, Cattlewomen award scholarship

North Central Montana Stockgrowers and Cattle Women associations have awarded their 2015 scholarship to Michael Compton.

Michael, the son of Rob and Kelly Compton, plans on attending Montana State University-Northern working toward a degree in diesel technology with a minor in agriculture mechanics technology.

The scholarship was established to honor the deceased members and friends of North Central Montana Stockgrowers and Cattlewomen.

It is given annually to a graduating high school senior or college sophomore. Although preference is given to individuals majoring in a field beneficial to the livestock industry, applicants in any field positively impacting rural Montana are considered.
