Letter to the Editor: North Central Montana Transit seeks support

As you may be aware, North Central Montana Transit runs Monday through Friday morning and afternoon along the Hi-Line.

Commuters travelling 30-plus miles to work every day reduce their carbon footprint by utilizing the transit system. Also, riders include students furthering their education at the local tribal colleges and Montana State UniversityNorthern, those in need of medical care, individuals who access specialized services not found in smaller communities, as well as nondrivers of all ages using our local transit system.

NCMT depends on local fundraising in our region to match state funds to cover a portion of our operational expenses.

To further our fundraising efforts, we are in need of letters of support detailing how riding the transit positively benefits individuals and communities in this region.
