Letter to the Editor: Thank you to My Neighbor in Need

Editor:

Yes, the economy, low-income people and middle-income people are being squeezed with the cost of hamburger at $11 for a three-pound package on sale, $4.50 for a gallon of milk and mechanics charging $70 to $100 an hour.

The cost of everything has gone up, making it very hard to make it from month to month.

Yes, we all need help. We’re in the same boat. Ask anyone. Do not be discouraged, because we are here to help one another. Any way you can help your neighbor and community is an act of kindness and caring. Yes, it takes work, but we can all do it together.

I wanted to thank My Neighbor in Need which had my car fixed with the help of Havre Ford. Then working together, they were able to get it up and running again for me. I live my life helping others in our community and needed my truck in order to help our people who have no means to get things on their own, such as picking up a bed or couch.

So, thank you Heather Adkins with My Neighbor in Need and Ricky from Havre Ford for fixing my truck.

Also, Havre’s Helping Haven, which provides clothing and household goods to all of us, yes, all of us.

When going there, you will find things that you need, but also be thinking of others who could want or need something that is there.

They encourage anyone to come in, college students or people who are struggling to make ends meet. They have enough for everyone.

Please, come and share in these programs. They are here for all of us to use. Please spread the word.

Patty Brannigan
