The Box Elder School District has completed its search for a new superintendent in hiring the Charlo School District superintendent, Thomas Peck.
Jeremy McDonald, the principal of Box Elder High School, said he is happy with the decision.
“We had some good candidates,” McDonald said. “Everybody we interviewed was very knowledgeable.”
Peck in particular had good answers, said McDonald, to his and the school board’s questions and showed enthusiasm for what the school district was doing. McDonald said he wanted Peck for the job because of the man’s experience with AP programs, financial aid and improving test scores.
Peck’s contract starts July 1, after current Box Elder superintendent Darrin Hannum makes his move to replace outgoing Chinook Public Schools superintendent. Jay Eslick, who is retiring after 20 years
