Les Johnson, the commander for the American Legion in Havre, said that the usual remembrances will be held Monday.
Monday, Memorial Day, the ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. on the west side of the Hill County Courthouse.
The Boy Scouts of America will be performing the flag-raising ceremony. Dena Rudio will sing the national anthem.
The names of last year’s deceased veterans from the Hi-Line will be read and wreaths will be placed on the monument dedicated to them at the courthouse.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, the Royal Canadian Legion, the Elks will be taking part in the remembrances.
The honor guard will perform the 21-gun salute.
Sunday, there will be a ceremony at the Elks Club after they place flags on the court house around 8 a.m. Food will be served as they give their ceremony to honor those who have served in the United States military.
