The North Star graduating class of 2015 took their seats Saturday to wrap up their time in secondary education.
Flint Rasmussen of Choteau, a former Havre resident and rodeo clown of national renown, spoke to the handful of students sitting in their caps and gowns in the gymnasium in Rudyard Saturday.
Rasmussen said he agreed to speak at the graduation four years ago when a father of one of the graduates asked him to.
"A lot of my success, a lot of my creativity comes from living in a small town like this," Rasmussen said. "We are all small-town people. Never take that for granted."
The co-valedictorians, Mackenzie Hansen and Tylynn Rettig, spoke to the friends and family gathered for the graduates.
