The website http://www.myneighborinneed.org/havre provides local citizens a way to ask for help from their community and a way for community members to give back to those in need.

If you are in need or know someone in need, My Neighbor in Need is here to help.

My Neighbor in Need allows you to ask for help with a specific need and no one knows you are asking for assistance. Just go to our website, http://www.myneighborinneed.org, and select Havre. There you will see how we can help our neighbors in need.

My Neighbor in Need works with many other nonprofit organizations including Havre’s Helping Haven.

Recently fulfilled need:

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

I am a young, unemployed lady trying to get my GED. I have my own place to stay but I am in need of my own bed. I have been borrowing an older bed from a family member but they need it back soon. Thank you very much.”  

My Neighbor in Need response:

We met with the neighbor in need at our office located at 419 6th Ave. and she completed the application. After we verified her information her need was approved and posted on http://www.myneighborinneed.org as well as featured in the Havre Daily News. In a very short time a caring donor contacted us and donated a complete bed system.

Valley Furniture picked up the bed from the donor and delivered the bed to the neighbor in need. Thank you goes to the kind donor and Valley Furniture for helping a neighbor in need.

Recently fulfilled need:

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

I rescue cats and dogs in Havre and recently there has been an uptick in the number of animals that I have picked up. I am in need of help with some pet food to handle this increase in hungry mouths. Thank you so much.”

My Neighbor in Need response:

Thanks to our friends at Walmart we provide pet food through our Free Pet Food Pantry inside the My Neighbor in Need offices located at 419 6th Ave, just across from the Havre Community Pool.

Thank you to Walmart for providing us with pet food for our pets in need.

Or you can call 406-301-3919 and tell us how you would like to help. Financial need donations are made directly to the business that will fulfill the need.

Send financial donations to My Neighbor in Need 419 6th Ave. Havre MT 59501. Remember to make checks payable to My Neighbor in Need — an approved, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Your donation is tax deductible.

Request help at http://www.myneighborinneed.org by completing the Request a Need form and clicking submit. If you do not have Internet access, call 406-301-3919, or mail a request to MNIN, 419 6th Ave., Havre, MT 59501. In your written request, provide contact information, including a description of the need.
