Museum plans for summer, says farewell to board member

The H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum Board heard updates Monday concerning summer hours and Living History plans, and a board member resigned from his position.

Judi Dritshulas, board president, said the Clack Museum summer hours are Monday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

"Most of our visitors come in the afternoon or late afternoon," she said.

Dritshulas also said Living History, sponsored by the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee, will be held Saturday, June 6.

"Each one of the tourist venues does something special," she said.

The museum will feature dinosaurs this year during Living History.

"We'll feature our dinosaur collection and especially try to push our passports," Dritshulas said. "They're just like a real passport, where every museum you go to on (the Montana Dinosaur Trail) they stamp. When you have all 14 stamps, you get a T-shirt."

Dritshulas added that passports are $5 each and when someone purchases a passport, they have five years to finish it "from the first stamp to the last stamp."

Passports can be purchased at the Clack Museum, located in Holiday Village Mall, 1753 U.S. Highway 2 West.

Thomas Huether announced that Monday was his last meeting as a board member. He will be moving to Missoula.

The next museum board meeting will be held Monday, June 8.
