School board elections were held Tuesday and those who turned up for the vote chose their prefered candidates.
The results are:
Chinook
Joel Pruttis took the one three-year positions after beating Mark Harshman 135 to 125.
A mill levy was voted into existence, 231 to 91. The mill levy is for the general fund, and will be a $26,355.34 or 3.82 mills for proper maintenance and operation of the school programs.
Cottonwood
Jeremy Couch and Beverly Peterson took the two open three-year position with 62 and 46 votes respectively.
Harlem
Kathleen Adams and Valerie Blackcrow won the two open three-year trustee positions by 118 and 132 respectively. Donald L. Long Knife lost the race with 86 votes.
About 15 percent of the eligible voters turned in ballots. In Harlem, 22 percent voted and Fort Belknap turned in 10 percent.
Hays-Lodge Pole
Randal Werk and John Hawley took the two positions available with 66 and 47 votes respectively.
Rocky Boy
Joshua “Waff” Seaton and Russell T. Gopher took the two positions on the school board with 41 and 35 votes respectively.
The two terms are three-year positions.
