Havre Police Department

Three people were arrested Wednesday at 7:32 a.m. after the calling party from a 1st Street business requested an officer come “check out” a check. No further information was provided.

Officers investigated a report from 2nd Street Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. concerning a theft. The calling party reported $500 was missing from his apartment.

Officers investigated a complaint from 6th Street Wednesday at 3:37 p.m. The calling party reported his mother’s vehicle was taken by her ex-husband.

Someone was arrested during a motor vehicle stop Wednesday at 5:21 p.m. on 5th Avenue. No further information was provided.

Leroy Michael Stiffarm, 49, of Havre was arrested Wednesday at 7:16 p.m. on two Justice or City court warrants.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies made no arrests Wednesday.

Havre Fire Department

Firefighters were called to the 6800 Block of U.S. Highway 2 East Wednesday at 7:01 p.m. to address a light amount of smoke. It was found the motor of the refrigerator in the home was smoking and there was a small flame. The fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
