Havre Police Academy enrollment open

The Havre Police Department is seeking applicants for its 2015 Citizens Police Academy.

The police academy is a nine-week program — one day a week, a few evening hours a day. The program is taught by police officers.

The academy gives those in the public an inside look at what police work is like. The program is tentatively scheduled to begin in late July and run through August.

Topics include current laws and regulations, crime scene investigations, firearms instructions and many other aspects of police operations with a mixture of hands-on experience and classroom time.
