The website http://www.myneighborinneed.org/havre provides local citizens a way to ask for help from their community and a way for community members to give back to those in need.

Current Needs

Neighbor in Need — A middle-age woman who works part-time to pay her rent, is in need of a small used couch. The couch she had been using fell apart and is unusable. Neighbor in Need — Unemployed mother seeking work is in need of a used/clean couch. The couch she is currently using has the springs poking out and is a safety concern for her children. If you are able to help in any way, please contact My Neighbor in Need at 406-301-3919. Thank you very much. The identification number is Havre #41.

Neighbor in Need — Disabled young man is in need of a used, clean full-size couch. If you are able to help, please contact My Neighbor in Need at 406-301-3919. Thank you. The identification number is Havre #34.

Recently fulfilled needs

“Dear My Neighbor in Need,

“I am unemployed but I hope to find work soon. I am in need of a bed. My mother and I live together in my apartment and she is sleeping on my bed, and I am currently sleeping on the floor. Because of our financial situation we cannot afford even a used bed. Thank you very much.”

My Neighbor in Need response:

We met with the neighbor in need at our office located at 419 6th Ave. and he completed the application. After we verified his information his need was approved and posted on http://www.myneighborinneed.org as well as featured in the Havre Daily News. In just one day a wonderful donor contacted us and offered to provide a complete bed system. We contacted Mike at Valley Furniture and his team picked up the bed from the donor and delivered it to the neighbor in need. A You Rock award goes to the kind donor and the delivery team at Valley Furniture.

If you would like to help, visit http://www.myneighborinneed.org and open up the Current Needs tab. Find a need request and click on the Fulfill This Need button. Or you can call 406-301-3919 and tell us how you would like to help. Financial need donations are made directly to the business that will fulfill the need.

Send financial donations to My Neighbor in Need 419 6th Ave. Havre MT 59501. Remember to make checks payable to My Neighbor in Need — an approved, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Your donation is tax deductible.

Request help at http://www.myneighborinneed.org by completing the Request a Need form and clicking submit. If you do not have Internet access, call 406-301-3919, or mail a request to MNIN, 419 6th Ave. Havre, MT 59501. In your written request, provide contact information, including a description of the need.
