Water flushing planned on 2nd St.

To maintain the quality of drinking water in Havre, Public Works periodically needs to flush the water system through city hydrants.

This week, firefighters will flush hydrants, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on 2nd Street, moving east.

The city’s Department of Public Works warns that when flushing is taking place in your neighborhood, water pressure may be low and water discolored so people might want to avoid washing clothes.

When flushing is done, simply run cold water until the water is clean.
