Havre's Brenna receives Blewett Scholarship

Wrestling season is in the rearview mirror for now, but Havre High senior Grayson Brenna keeps piling up the accomplishments.

Brenna, the 2015 Class A state champion, who will attend Grand View University this fall, recently was awarded the Blewett Wrestling Scholarship.

For the ninth year in a row Alexander “Zander” Blewett, III, a trial lawyer from the personal injury law firm of Hoyt & Blewett PLLC in Great Falls, has offered a $500 scholarship to the top student/wrestler at Havre High School.

The scholarship is awarded to the top wrestler from Havre High School who has displayed the best combined qualities of wrestling and academic achievement. Brenna exemplifies the precise purpose of the scholarship.

Brenna recently won his second state class A wrestling championship for the Blue Ponies.  He is also a two time state placer who earned a 3.7 GPA. At Grand View, he will wrestle and study applied mathematics and mechanical engineering.

“Grayson is an extraordinarily gifted wrestler and a dedicated student who has certainly earned this recognition,” said Blewett.
