Dustin Haas, Havre Tennis
Havre High sophomore Dustin Haas had a strong season on the golf course last fall. Now he's turning that success to the tennis courts. Haas went 4-0 in singles for the Blue Pony tennis team this past weekend in Lewistown, and all four wins were key to the Pony boys going 4-0 in duals against Central A opponents. Haas, who is a two-time All-Conference golfer at HHS, also won two critical matches at the Class A Invite two weeks ago in Cut Bank, including clinching a dual win over Whitefish to keep the HHS boys dual record perfect this spring.
Logan Huebsch, Havre Track
The hurdles are a tough event in track and field. But Havre High freshman Logan Huebsch is making them look easy this season. During two meets in Havre, Huebsch won three hurdle events for the Pony girls team, including sweeping the 100 and 300-meter hurdles races in a triangular meet with North Star and Chinook last Tuesday. Huebsch also finished first in the 300 hurdles and second in the 100 hurdles at the Lions Havre Invitational back on April 13, also at the Havre Middle School Track. Huebsch also plays volleyball and basketball at HHS.
