Patricia Ann (Farley) Hayes, 79, of Glasgow passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a short illness on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.
Pat was born on July 14, 1935, in Havre, Montana, to Michael and Marion (Weeks) Farley and was the fourth of five children. She attended Havre High School.
In 1952 she married Edward Kirchdoerfer and they had two children. They later divorced. On June 25, 1960, Pat married Robert Cook, together they had four children. After her divorce from Robert, she met and married Jim Hayes.
She dedicated her life to helping others and became the first CNA at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow. She also lived and worked in Havre for several years. The most important thing in her life was family, and she was known by many as Grandma Pat. She loved to cook, read, bowl and do search-a-words. Spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids was what made her happiest in life. She enjoyed travelling all over with her sister, Junie, and brother-in-law, Ted.
Pat is survived by her children, Pam (John) Dodson, Carole Kickland (Jay Brownson), Scott Cook and Diana (Jubal) Cole, all of Glasgow, and Julie (Steve) Jenssen of Pierre, South Dakota; and siblings, William "Bill" (Ellen) Farley of Hayden, Idaho, and Virginia "Junie" (Ted) Lilly of Pasco, Washington. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two special adopted grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Marion; her son, William "Willie" Kirchdoerfer; siblings, Joyce McNabb and James (Dolly) Farley; and grandchildren, Hanna and Ty Cook.
Services will be at the Assembly of God Church in Glasgow, on Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the Cottonwood Inn at 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been set up at Valley Bank.
