Carol Gutierrez, 75, proud member of Rocky Boy Reservation, passed away at Northern Montana Care Center on April 8, 2015, surrounded by family and friends.
Wake services began at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, and continued until her funeral service, at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015, all at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, in Rocky Boy. Burial will follow in Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Carol was born on Oct. 28, 1939 in Rocky Boy to George Watson and Mary (Chief Goes Out) Caplette. She was raised by her grandparents Chief Goes Out and Buffalo Coat. She was raised in Rocky Boy and attended school there. Following school she had her children and worked in Havre for the dry cleaning service. She then moved on as a cook for the schools and later with the senior center. Carol was a hard-working woman. She loved to provide for her children and grandchildren. She loved to socialize with family and friends.
Carol enjoyed bingo and stick game. She was fashionable and she loved shopping for shoes and purses. She will be missed by everyone, especially her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Watson Jr. and Mary (Chief Goes Out) Caplette; her siblings Harold Watson, Alvin Caplette, Lornie Caplette and Nancy Esparza; and numerous extended family members.
Carol is survived by Marilyn, Cam, Anna, Steve, Warren, Rose and Dustin Russette, all of Rocky Boy; her precious grandchildren whom she raised, Laurna and Sasha; her siblings Ervin Watson, Kenny Writing Bird, Nadine Morsette, Ruby Stump, Thelma Stiffarm, Maxine Padauna; grandchildren, Kara, Kyle, RJ, Chris, Jaelynn, Cardell, Shawnalea, Maritka, Aaris, Arlyssia and Wyatt; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. We like would to thank Marvin (Lee) Gray Boy from Fort Belknap.
