Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a report from 4th Street at 10:26 a.m. Thursday concerning theft, forgery and fraud. The calling party reported stolen taxes.

Officers were called to assist a citizen Thursday at 1:15 p.m. on 7th Avenue concerning missing items from the reporting party’s house.

John John Horseman, 43, of Fort Belknap was arrested Thursday at 3:04 p.m. on two charges of criminal contempt after a caller reported from a 3rd Avenue business there was a drunk male in the building.

Brian Eugene Briere, 31, of Box Elder was arrested Thursday at 4:07 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct after a caller reported from 2nd Street there was a drunk male laying on the ground.

Officers investigated a report from 6th Street at 6:10 p.m. concerning theft, forgery or fraud after the calling party reported the theft of a car, laptop and “other things.”

William Barney Lavenger Jr., 37, of Havre was arrested Thursday at 6:33 p.m. on charges of partner or family member assault, criminal mischief or vandalism and probation violation after the calling party reported a female was crying and saying she got beat up.

Melanie Jean Bergren, 41, of Havre was issued a summons Thursday at 8:20 p.m. on a charge of endangering the welfare of children after the calling party reported her neighbor had been drinking all day and the last time she saw her she was passed out, laying in her own vomit.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Charles Bernard Christianson, 47, of Havre was issued a summons Thursday at 6:48 p.m. on charges of dog at large, dog registration and vaccination violations and dog tag and collar violations.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical services responded to three calls Thursday and one call this morning.
