Tribal Transfer Day will have students from tribal colleges visit Montana State University-Northern to learn about what the college has to offer.
Cristina Estrada-Underwood, the director of cultural activities, said that it is an all-day event that has the main focus of easing the transition between two-year tribal colleges into a four-year institution like MSU-Northern.
The day begins at 9 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts in the Hensler Auditorium and a word from the chancellor or provost and then moves on to presentations from the multicultural center, admissions, the sports department, student activities and more. Lunch will be provided.
There will also be a tour of the campus and a panel discussion with MSU-Northern Native American alumni, who will tell their success stories to the students and discuss with them their further education.
The day will end around 3 p.m.
Those interested in attending the event need to sign up at http://www.msun.edu/future/tctransferday.aspx.
