In Big Sandy, seven people were involved in an altercation that led to one person being stabbed and another chasing people with a chainsaw.
“The long and short of it is, right, now, we have seven individuals involved,” said Chouteau County Sheriff Vern L. Burdick, going on to say that the people involved were from outside of Chouteau County.
Burdick said that a group of people grabbed someone from his car and started to beat him, and it was around that time that someone took a chainsaw out of a truck, started it up and chased another with it.
The initial citation issued to the people involved was for disorderly conduct after the brawl, from which the only injury was a non-life-threatening knife cut.
“There will be more charges,” Burdick said, after the interviews and investigations are complete.
He said he could not release the names or ages of the individuals involved until the investigation is complete.
