Quick Picks: Awarding Hi-Line Scouts

The annual Boy Scout Hi-Line District appreciation and recognition dinner was held Saturday at St. Jude Parish Center, with awards presented to those who performed well over the year. The winners were, from left, District Award of Merit, Stephannie Klein; Den Leader of the Year, Jennifer Parks; Cub Scout of the Year, Rowan Parks; Boy Scout of the Year, Nicholas Montagino; and Scoutmaster of the Year, Jennifer Thompson. John Kelleher, managing editor of the Havre Daily News, accepted the Golden Spike Award for the newspaper's news coverage and advertising for the Scouting program.
