The 66th Annual Montana Seed Show is set to take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Harlem High School.
Rodney Becker, a person involved with the event, said the Seed Show started as a potato show. Over the years, the event expanded, adding several new features such as a car show and a quilt show.
“There’s pie baking, bread baking — several divisions, there’s whole wheat, white and bread machine…,” Becker added.
Becker also said commercial booths will be set up throughout the three-day event.
“The big gym will be full of commercial booths and then the small gym will be full of art exhibitors from really all over,” he said.
A chili cook-off will take place Thursday evening after a three-year hiatus.
“In a nutshell, I believe you’re supposed to bring a roaster full of chili, and then it’s voted on by (the public),” Becker said.
Becker added that this event brings people together.
“It brings a tremendous amount of people out from all over,” he said.
