Lynette Stortz and Renee Pribyl of Havre's Highland Park School have been named the Region II Comprehensive System of Personnel Development Teacher/Paraprofessional, or CPSD, Team of the Year for 2014-15.

They received their award at the Montana Council for Exceptional Children Conference in February.

Each year CSPD honors a Paraprofessional of the Year and a Paraprofessional/Teach Team of the Year.

Nomination forms are sent out in the fall to administrators in our region.

Nomination forms are submitted to the CSPD office, a team scores the nominations, and a winner is chosen.

Stortz, the teacher, and Pribyl, the paraprofessional, have worked in the kindergarten prep program since its inception.

These two demonstrate daily their willingness to make this program effective and beneficial to the students of the district.

As a team they work toward goals that have been set that will develop a strong educational foundation for their students.

Stortz and Pribyl have a team approach that allows them to each to utilize their strengths to assist each student to reach their highest potential.

To quote one parent: "I got to see first-hand how well they taught the children and how to respect each other and themselves. Thanks to this team, they made my daughter's first year of school a great experience."

Stortz and Pribyl were also recognized at the Feb. 10 meeting of the Havre Board of Trustees.
