The 31st annual Havre-Hill County Library Valentine's Day Pie Social offered a wide variety of pies Friday to raise money for the library.
Bonnie Williamson, treasurer of the Friends of the Havre-Hill County Library, said $1,755.01 was raised for the library.
Jean Scofield, president of the Friends of the Havre-Hill County Library, said more than 50 pies were made by community members for this event.
Many different kinds of pies were available at the fundraiser including apple, cherry, strawberry and cream cheese pumpkin.
Scofield also said a slice of pie, ice cream and coffee was $3 and that cookbooks of various pie recipes were sold at the fundraiser for $15.
Scofield added that the proceeds from this event "go right back into the library."
"We sponsor winter reading, the kid's summer reading, we buy the movie license, we sponsor the Lego (Time)," she said. "It all goes back to the library to the needs of wherever they need it, where their budget doesn't cover."
