MAT holds auditions for production of 'The Lieutenant of Inishmore'

Auditions for the upcoming production of “The Lieutenant of Inishmore” are tonight and Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Little Theatre in Cowan Hall on Montana State University-Northern.

The auditions call for seven men ranging from ages 18 to 50 and one woman aged 18 to 25. Those interested in auditioning are encouraged to have a two-minute comedic monologue prepared, though it isn’t required.

The play is about an Irish terrorist who, upon returning home, attempts to find whoever killed his cat and left it dead on the road.

“Human cadavers quickly accumulate in Martin McDonagh’s pitch-black comedy,” a synopsis reads.

The play will run on weekends from May 15 to 30.
