Lyons to speak at Tester session

Jim Lyons of Havre, the director of North Central Montana Transit, will take part in a panel discussion Friday in Helena on transportation infrastructure policy.

That panel, and a second panel that will discuss economic impacts of transportation infrastructure, will be held as part of a listening session sponsored by Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont..

Tester wants to hear ideas about upgrading Montana roads, bridges and transit systems. He also wants to hear from people involved in the economic impacts of transportation system.

Lyons has headed up the transit system since 2009, when it was founded. The system’s buses stops in rural communities from Fort Belknap to Havre to Box Elder and takes passengers to Great Falls and beyond.
