A man indicted for theft of funds from a tribal organization has been through his arraignment and now awaits his jury trial.
Timothy Warren Rosette pleaded not guilty at the Missouri River Federal Courthouse Tuesday and was scheduled Thursday to have his jury trial April 8 at 9 a.m.
Rosette is the former director of the Chippewa Cree Tribe Roads Branch and the Rocky Boy Health Clinic’s Environmental Health Division
He is alleged to have accepted bribes from James Howard Eastlick, Jr. and the Hunter Burns Construction Company while he was director of the organizations.
Rosette was indicted for a charge of bribery of an official of an Indian tribal government receiving federal funds, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment, with three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine
