Obituary - Mary Eloise (Rensvold) Dodaro

Mary Dodaro died at home in Vancouver, Washington, with her family caring for her.

Mary was born in Wolf Point, Montana, into a farming family.

After she graduated from high school she worked in a bakery in Wolf Point. A friend asked her if she would be interested in working at Buttrey's in Havre. A couple of weeks later she was on the train. She had to sit on her suitcase in an aisle in one of the coaches because the trains were crowded during the war years.

A couple of years later, when the soldiers from Havre came home, Mary Rensvold met George Dodaro, in a snow storm during the winter of 1946. They were married in 1947. Mary had two children, Bonnie Jean and Gerald Michael. Bonnie died in 2004.
