Yolanda Virginia (Mazzuca) Yeon, 83, of Havre passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, of natural causes. A vigil service will be held to honor Yolanda Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Yolanda’s name to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. She was born in Havre on Nov. 20, 1931, to Salvatore and Genevieve Mazzuca of Cosenza, Italy, and grew up in Havre. She attended St. Jude Thaddeus and Havre High School, then went to work for Mountain Bell in 1950. She married James W. Yeon on Dec. 3, 1960, and raised four children, Jim, Jenee, Renee and Salvatore, whom she adored.
Yolanda loved to bake, loved animals, going out for coffee, traveling, and the company of her friends and family. She was a dedicated caregiver to her mom, husband and children. Yolanda was a Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jim.
Yolanda is survived by her husband, Jim of Havre; her children, Jenee Yeon of Lewiston, Idaho, Renee (Art) Malisani of Great Falls, and Salvatore (Mary) Yeon of Havre; four grandchildren, Genevieve, Gabriella, Bryon and Yolanda; three great-grandchildren, Remington, Ruger and Colt; her brothers, Frank (Judy) and Salvatore “Sam” Mazzuca, all of Omaha, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews.
